Our ingredients
To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle growth and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweed, among other things, has its origins thousands of years ago. These ingredients support the natural processes in a dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Kromfohrländer-specific vegetables, herbs and fruit
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Kromfohrländer. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and FCI breed group to which the Kromfohrländer belongs. Based on this research, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we have selected ingredients that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Kromfohrländer.
Fennel
Fennel is a plant in the carrot family and is recognizable by its anise flavor. The thread-like branches of the leaves are often used as a herb, and the seeds as a spice. These seeds have been known for their medicinal properties for centuries.
Like many herbs and seeds, fennel is also rich in various vitamins and minerals. It contains a lot of vitamin A and C, as well as the minerals iron and potassium.
Fennel can be added to dog food because it can support digestion and counteract bloating in the stomach and intestines. It can contribute to a healthy cardiovascular system and may have a positive effect on joint problems. Fennel is also said to promote fresh breath.
Yucca
This plant grows in the deserts of the Southwestern United States and Northern Mexico. The roots of the yucca have been used for centuries by Native Americans in these areas as a remedy for rheumatism and arthritis. It reduces pain and inflammation in the joints.
Yucca can be added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific ailments related to rheumatism, arthritis, osteoarthritis, the intestines, and the heart. Yucca can also reduce the strong odor of feces and alleviate bad breath.
Apple
The apple tree is a tree of the genus Malus, on which the hand apples, well-known especially in the Northern Hemisphere, grow. The apple grows in temperate regions.
Dietary fiber has a multifaceted function in the digestive tract. It is able to absorb moisture, making the stool soft and smooth. Furthermore, dietary fiber increases the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates the functioning of the intestines, but also ensures thorough elimination of waste products.
Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that helps support a healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble, and apples are low in calories.

Puppy, adult, or senior?
To help you choose the right variant of our Kromfohrländer dog food, please use the following guidelines. If your Kromfohrländer is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Kromfohrländer older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Kromfohrländer senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Transfer advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of dog food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Allow your dog two days to adjust. Next, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. Again, allow your dog two or three days to adjust. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. Your dog is now almost completely switched over to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can switch to 100% Yourdog Kromfohrländer dog food at your own discretion.
Storage instructions
After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it's important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight container in a dry, cool, and dark place. It's best not to put the food loose in the container, but to place the entire bag, tightly closed, inside.
