History
The Andalusian Ratcatcher, also known as the Ratonero Bodeguero Andaluz, is an energetic and intelligent dog breed originating from Southern Spain. This breed was originally bred to control rats and other pests in wineries and farms. Their name "Bodeguero" refers to their work in the bodegas (wineries). Today, they are also appreciated as companion dogs.
Character and Temperament
The Andalusian Ratcatcher is cheerful, intelligent, and courageous. They are very affectionate towards their family and have a playful nature. Due to their hunting instinct, they can be independent, but with proper training they are obedient and adaptable. They get along well with children and other pets, provided they are socialized at a young age.
